Solar Vision Lighting Technologies are pleased to announce the installation of a solar street lighting project for Three Rivers District Council. Our solar lighting columns illuminate the new gateway at Leavesden Country Park, Abbots Langley, linking the park with the large new housing development built for Warner Bros. off Langley Lane.
The installation is an off grid pure 100% renewable solution avoiding invasive trenching, concrete contamination, expensive cabling, grid connection and future energy costs. The installation and commissioning took a single day during September 2019. We utilise a new method of ground works called the Krinner Screw. This reduces installation times as the solar column may be fixed and commissioned immediately after the Krinner Screw has been fixed into position.
The client required a carbon zero off grid product which reduced carbon emissions, and increased renewable energy use within the Borough.
